Richard Schwartz
Richard studied Economics at Virginia Tech. After graduation, he worked at Bank of America before attending seminary where he received his Master of Divinity. He has served as an assistant pastor in two different contexts. He has labored as the lead pastor in one place for 20 years and led this particular body through several different stages of transition. For the last 15 years he has also been on a denominational committee coming alongside pastors in crisis.
Richard has been trained in conflict coaching and mediation through Peacemaker Ministries and is a certified conciliator with Ambassadors of Reconciliation and Relational Wisdom 360. He is also a certified spiritual director through Lipscomb University and is honored to serve on staff with Dovehouse Ministries.
He desires to assist others in connecting the gospel to their personal lives, living out of their identity in Christ, and discerning the Spirit’s work in their ongoing story.
Richard and his wife, Sarah, have been married for over 30 years and have three children and two grandchildren. They also have two rescue dogs and enjoy reading, kayaking, and finding good local places to eat or get coffee.
